Keep thinking and writing about Dee; I think she's a good hook into the BSG universe. She sees everything and can fix nothing-always a character to narrate and empathize with.
On my egotistical days she's my Mary-Sue (the character I identify with and see through her eyes most clearly) although Cally is really who I understand the most.
